OUT OF OFFICE FOR IPHONE & MAC

Out of Office

Your workday ends here.

Block work apps after hours. Keep evenings and weekends to yourself.

Ask about early access

In development. App Store release in preparation.

Calm coastal water, distant hills and a small jetty at the end of the day.

A closing time for work.

Out of Office is a self-control app from Webscape. Set a recurring boundary around work apps, so you do not have to negotiate with yourself every evening.

Work apps, on a schedule.

Choose work apps with Apple’s Screen Time picker on iPhone. The Mac companion currently supports Slack and a network filter for Slack websites, including every workspace under slack.com.

The whole weekend, by default.

Start with 6pm–7am on weekdays and all-day blocking on Saturday and Sunday. Set each day to After hours, All day or Off to fit your working week.

Strict mode holds the boundary.

During a Strict session, the in-app controls for blocking, hours and app selection stay locked. They unlock at the end of the session, including after a full weekend.

One schedule across your screens.

Hours, day settings and Strict mode sync through iCloud. App choices stay device-specific. Sync is not instant: open the iPhone app to receive changes. Active Strict sessions keep their current boundary until they finish.

A useful boundary, with clear limits.

Out of Office is not tamper-proof. You can revoke Screen Time access or delete the iPhone app. Stopping the Mac companion bypasses app closing; the website filter is a separate system extension requiring approval. Browser coverage on iPhone depends on Screen Time, and cached pages can remain visible. The app is for your own devices and personal boundaries.
