Out of Office Terms of Use
These product terms apply to Out of Office, provided by Glassrope Limited, trading as Webscape, Christchurch, New Zealand. They are separate from Webscape’s client project terms.

1Using Out of Office
Out of Office helps you set personal boundaries around work apps on devices you own or are authorized to use. Configure it for your own needs and follow applicable laws and the conditions of your workplace or device administrator.
The app is currently in development. Availability, supported platforms and features are described on the product page. This page does not promise an App Store release date or ongoing access to a particular pre-release build.
2Apple licensing and third-party services
For a version distributed through the App Store, Apple’s Standard Licensed Application End User License Agreement applies unless a separate custom EULA is supplied with that version. These product terms do not replace Apple’s agreement or change Apple’s obligations. The standard EULA is available at https://www.apple.com/legal/internet-services/itunes/dev/stdeula/.
Apple’s operating systems, Screen Time, iCloud and notification services operate under their own terms. Slack is a third-party service. Out of Office is not affiliated with or endorsed by Slack or Apple.
3Schedules and Strict mode
You choose when blocking applies. Strict mode deliberately prevents in-app changes to blocking, schedules and app selections during an active session. An all-day weekend can extend the current session until your next unblocked working period. Check the displayed unlock time before committing to a schedule.
System-level controls remain available. The app cannot guarantee that every bypass is prevented, every browser is covered, or all cached work content becomes inaccessible. Removing permissions, deleting apps, stopping the companion or disabling a network extension can change or bypass enforcement.
4Compatibility and availability
Blocking depends on supported operating systems, permissions, device settings and Apple frameworks. iCloud delivery is not instant; devices can temporarily use different saved schedules, particularly while a Strict session is active. Out of Office follows each device’s local time.
The Mac companion requests that blocked apps close. The network filter can stop connections to configured domains but does not erase already downloaded content. Keep separate copies of important work and use ordinary save and backup practices.
We may update the app to fix issues or respond to platform changes. Contact support if it does not work as described. Nothing here excludes any support, remedy or other obligation required by applicable law.
5Privacy
The Out of Office Privacy Policy explains local settings, iCloud synchronization, permissions, filtering and support enquiries. It is available at https://webscape.co.nz/out-of-office/privacy.
6Your consumer rights
Nothing in these terms excludes, restricts or modifies rights or remedies that cannot lawfully be excluded, including applicable rights under New Zealand’s Consumer Guarantees Act 1993 and Fair Trading Act 1986, or mandatory protections in your country of residence.
If the app is not as described or you believe you are entitled to a remedy, contact hello@webscape.co.nz. For App Store transactions, Apple’s purchase and refund processes also apply. These terms do not create a separate subscription, cancellation charge or fee.
7Questions, changes and disputes
Contact hello@webscape.co.nz with Out of Office in the subject line for support or concerns. We aim to resolve problems directly. New Zealand law applies to these product terms, subject to mandatory rights and jurisdictions that apply where you live.
We may update these terms as the product changes. Material changes will be communicated through appropriate product or distribution channels; mandatory rights remain unaffected.
Something here unclear? Get in touch and we will explain it in plain terms.
